Australian-based Coffee Hoppers is introducing its line of wood and metal coffee bean dispensers in April.
Founder Stephen Pemberton, a wood crafter, has sold more than 5,000 units in his home country and overseas. “I’m proud to bring The International Model to the US market,” says Pemberton. “It is the culmination of 20 years of design evolution and research that features removable cylinders, a stay-fresh airtight lid and spring-loaded trigger to release the beans,” he says.
Each component is hand made and includes an anodized metal alloy lid and chute with stainless steel components. A choice of black, cherry or oak casing is also available. The internal tubing is made of acrylic which is hygienic, makes cleaning easy and allows maximum viewing area of the beans. The units can be wall mounted or free standing and are also designed to be easily joined together for multiple hoppers, he says.
Hoppers are currently in use in several countries and by larger retailers including Gloria Jeans, Toby’s Estate and Robert Timms coffee.
